I'm an AI Consultant ML Architect Entrepreneur Author

About Me

I have a rich and varied background in tech, spanning from my early days as an AI researcher, to founding multiple startups, and extending to my broad spectrum of consulting experiences with diverse clients.

Here are a few highlights:

  • In 2010, I released the first version of Arcade Learning Environment as part of my Master's Thesis , aimed at building AI agents capable of learning to play Atari games. This framework was later used by DeepMind and OpenAI.
  • In 2019, Haro.ai an AI startup that I'd co-founded was acquired. Haro predicted future user behaviors based on their past events, using similar technologies currently used in training Large Language Models (LLMs)..
  • In 2023, I completed my first novel, The Improbability Audits

My approach to technology has always been driven by a sense of curiosity and commitment to pragmatism. I constantly strive to strike a balance between two pivotal questions:

  1. What is possible?
  2. What adds value?

If you believe my background and expertise can contribute to the success of your project, please contact me.

The Improbability Audits

It's been said that God doesn't play dice with the universe. However, for Ed, an alcoholic insurance auditor, there's growing evidence that some gods might indeed be flinging dice at the unsuspecting mortals below. How else to explain the sudden surge of bizarre, laughably improbable accidents? Ed, content in his asexuality, shares his home with Shahrzad, an Iranian-Canadian mathematician unapologetically exploring her sexual freedoms. Then there's Hannah, a devout yet ever-cheerful MI5 agent. The three reluctant protagonists must unravel the connection between a mysterious young girl and the inexplicable surge of astronomically unlikely events shaking the globe. After all, a meteor wiping life from Earth isn't at all impossible—it's just incredibly improbable.

The Improbability Audits is not a work of science fiction, though there's plenty of fiction about science in it. Beyond that, it's a dark comedy, a tale of misfits wrestling with life's awkward questions on mortality, sexuality, religion, and whatever it is we all eventually scrape together and call family.

The above is the “back cover” of my first novel. Completed at slightly over eighty-six thousand words, it combines elements of science, mystery, humor, and a touch of magic.

While I'm still exploring the options for getting it published, you're welcome to read the first ten pages.
